Yes of course - and that's kind of the point. But NPS is strictly about relationships, why are you measuring a relationship? What's the purpose? Aren't there better ways of measuring relationships with a product, rather than asking someone to do something for you? But of course, you hit the nail in the head - it's about context, as with any metric!
For me, NPS is one of those things that people just do to do, without any purpose, simply because everyone does it. Very few companies still think about its purpose or its context anymore. As always, thank you for your constructive feedback :)
